|Recommended: NoGood amenities, bad management/service (Lance is cool, everyone else meh) — It s ALRIGHT. People here are pretty cold, and because the rent is high this place attracts people whose parents pay their rent. They re not the most mature people, and expect them to be LOUD on the weekends late into the night sometimes (goodbye sleep). The wifi/internet here SUCKS, plain and simple, it s wifi managed by a third party based in Chicago, so if you ever have any issues have fun fighting tooth and nail to get help. Google Fiber is available but the free rate is at MOST 5 MBps, so very slow and a worse alternative (surprisingly) to the wifi offered by The Village through some shady business called Innflux.
|Recommended: NoI don t feel that it is as social as I had thought it was going to be initially. — I feel that the apartments are furnished and put together nicely. However, I feel like the living accomodations are a bit small for what I am paying. I am unable to fit all of my things in the kitchen, bathroom and room. I am not very comfortable with the amount of space I have.
|Recommended: YesThis is a great place to live with big rooms, great common areas and tons of stuff to do. — It is great having underground parking that is well lit, the apartments are a nice size, the structure is well built and the office hours are great.
|Recommended: YesI like living here - the apartments are great - low utitlities and great maintenance staff and office help. — This place is great, people are fun, underground parking is fantastic, laundry facilities are good and maintenance is fast, office people are great.
|Recommended: NoAn OK place to live — Most of this will depend on roommates and what amenities you ll find useful, but it s a nice place that s kept relatively clean and the fact that it s got higher rent than other places does naturally sort out sketchy people. The apartment is nice and very new. The bedrooms a little small. Management is alright. Lance is a good manager, though the staff seems to be a little slow/lacks efficiency ESPECIALLY when it comes to the mail here. I haven t fallen victim to this, but two of my roommates have had packages go missing - tracking info says they were delivered, but they never got them. I was also appalled by the fact that USPS trusted the office staff to sign for a certified letter once that belonged to a resident that no longer lived here. That would send the wrong message to the sender and make them think that it was indeed received by the intended recipient when, in fact, he no longer lived here -- and this should have been conveyed by the office staff to USPS and the letter should have been returned to sender.
Noise levels will depend on your roommates and neighbors, mostly, but the paper-thin walls won t stop much (eg: loud music in the bathroom isn t affected by both doors between you and the source being closed, and a gaming roommate s very offensive language will easily carry through the wall from the next room over at 3 in the morning). But if there s an excessive amount of noise coming from them, you can rest assured that the office staff won t do anything for you but recommend a study room or doing homework, not at home, but on campus.
|Recommended: YesNice amenities. Convenient. Close to campus. Better management than others. — Its nice. I love the parking and the complex is really neat. I only suggest getting rid of old internet or getting a new one. 3 items per tenant is not realistic with how many wifi devices people have now. Also, I think cleaning checks should be more intense. Its better for everyone. But overall I really enjoy my stay here at the village.
|Recommended: YesCool — Its nice
|Recommended: YesI really like it. Very clean and organized — Very social with lots of opportunities to meet new people. There are activities being planned all the time.
|Recommended: NoIt s alright, I won t live here again though. — The actual apartment is really nice. The girls beneath us are awful, and yell at us all the time for walking around, which is not our fault. I think it is overpriced, and the management takes a long time to help you, and they are usually pretty grouchy. It s a convenient location though, and the parking is nice.
|Recommended: YesIt s a beautiful inside. — Elevators way slow, not enough parking, plain hallways, vending machines not on every floor and not known to all residents, love trash guys, need consistent mail time, good main areas, wall holes are very obvious in main area and look trashy, great bathrooms and kitchens, ovens are decent, bedroom pricing is horrible, pay the same for a smaller bedroom than roommates.
|Recommended: YesIts aesthetically nice, but a hassle dealing with the office — cool
|Recommended: YesClean, social, updated, and very nice, but very uncomfortable couches — It's one of the nicer complexes, and is convenient
|Recommended: YesBeautiful place, I really love the social atmosphere. I think the hot tub should be open later. Love everything else! Thanks! — It's fun bringing friends over because there's lots to do, and it's a beautiful apartment to chill in. I love my ward. I feel like I'm living a pretty suite life.
|Recommended: YesGreat. — wonderful.
|Recommended: YesMany things done right, a few things done terrible - internet, couch and furniture choices — I love the social life. I think the Village does a good job keeping things nice and clean. I like that they are strict. You have to be to keep a place this large up to par. Thanks for that. However a few things MUST be changed. FORGET YOUR CURRENT INTERNET PROVIDER, WE DON'T CARE WHO IT IS OR WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM IT IS THE WORST INTERNET I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!! That is probably one of the most important features about where you live is internet. PLEASE do something now!!!!!! Also, the couches are uncomfortable, makes it so people don't want to come visit. Movie nights not fun at the ivllage because "we" don't have good couches or enough room to sit. Thanks for being strict about the pools and dress code, but closing it early is a little excessive.
